Permafrost Resources Guide

Steam confirms hunting, scavenging, crafting, repairs, and shelter networks. It does not provide a complete resource list or numeric economy, so this page is a clean evidence tracker rather than a fabricated database.

Resource categories already supported by Steam

The official description gives us the system categories: hunt, scavenge, craft, repair broken machines, reclaim technology, and build a network of shelters. Those categories are enough to design the data model without pretending to know the individual item names.

  • Hunting outputs and where they are found.
  • Scavenged components from cities, wilderness, and ruins.
  • Crafting inputs and the recipe they unlock.
  • Repair materials for machines and shelters.
  • Technology recovered through exploration.

How to record a resource

Each launch entry should include exact name, location type, action used, quantity observed, recipe or repair use, and game version. Co-op findings should also record whether the result changes with player count.

Not yet verified

No individual resource names, quantities, spawn rates, or best farming route are claimed before the game is playable.
